In appreciation of the role of doctors and medical staff, representing the frontline defense against Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has agreed with the four telecom operators, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), on granting 3,000 minutes and 10 gigabytes per month, for free, for all mobile networks, to all doctors, nurses, administrative personnel and staff working in the isolation hospitals for COVID-19 patients, nationwide.
This comes within the framework of the directives of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat on harnessing all available resources to support the medical staff as they do their job, and render decent telecommunication services to them.
Moreover, this comes in appreciation of the great efforts that the medical staff exert in providing the necessary health care to COVID-19 patients, seeking to curb the spread of the virus and protecting the health and safety of citizens. It also comes as part of the initiatives launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the companies operating in the ICT sector, for supporting the state’s efforts in overcoming COVID-19.
