The 4th Robots' Cemetery Competition To be Launched by IEEE ManSB and NTRA

IEEE Mansoura Student Branch (IEEE ManSB), in collaboration with the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), is organizing the 4th Robots' Cemetery Competition which will start on 23 October for two days.

The competition is held under the auspices of Mansoura University, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), and Al-Ahram Portal as Egyptian students will compete at Mansoura University to manufacture robots and then compete to destroy them through a wrestling match in a competition known as "Robots' Cemetery". The competition takes place among the participating robots controlled wirelessly within the fighting arena, which has been prepared according to precise and specific parameters.

The teams should have as many weapons as possible to be able to stop the challenger's robot mobility for a specific time and with specific rules as the winner will be announced in accordance with the criteria set for evaluation by a jury specialist. In the final round, the campus of the Engineering Faculty will witness the conquest of the winning contestant. In addition, the competition will conclude with the award of the first three winning teams that will be awarded with material and promotional prizes in recognition of their efforts and as an incentive to achieve greater merits and excellence.

It is worth mentioning that the NTRA sponsors the competition with 50 thousand Egyptian pounds.

The Robots Cemetery 3.0 is the third edition of the event that has been organized by IEEE ManSB since 2014. It is expected that 30 teams from throughout the country will participate in the event. The competition aims to establish a creative engineering community fully aware of the needs of the labor market and match the creative students' abilities, contributing to the development of the world with that market.  IEEE ManSB will enable specialists and experts in the field of robotics to provide technical and technological support to the participating teams in order to enhance the spirit of competition among the viewers.
