The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Egypt (NTRA) came fifth on the ranking of the net profits of economic entities during the fiscal year 2021/2022, issued by the Ministry of Finance, with an EGP 5855 million and by an increase of 24% over the NTRA’s profit in the previous fiscal year 2020/2021. This milestone indicates a maximization of revenues and was driven by the measures taken by the NTRA to develop the telecom market, particularly granting licenses and providing new frequencies which had a great impact on increasing NTRA’s revenues, side by side with NTRA’s policy of rationalizing expenditure.
