The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Egypt (NTRA) held a joint workshop with the Economic Affairs and Money Laundering Prosecution, in the presence of the Prosecution’s Director as well as other directors of prosecutions, legal experts and engineers. During the workshop, technical as well as legal expertise in combating cybercrimes was shared, given the multi forms such crimes have. Training courses on several topics were also delivered, such as evidence collection reports to detect cybercrimes and how to draft reports in clear legal language to facilitate work procedures for prosecution’s directors and experts. Furthermore, views to counter recent electronic crimes were exchanged. It’s worth noting that such workshop was held in line with NTRA’s keen efforts to combat information technology crimes as stipulated in Law No. 175 on Anti-Cyber and Information Technology Crimes.
